Daddy, 16x20, oil on canvas.This was truly a labor of love and my first oil portrait. Painting is very much like living one's life in a condensed form: youthful enthusiasm in the beginning, self-doubt and procrastination in the middle, cynical negativity later on, and finally acceptance and gratitude for coming out of the process pretty much the better for it all.
